Meet the team behind Girls' Education Matters – driving change, one girl at a time
Who we are
We are a team of dedicated volunteers – a movement made up of media activists, human rights defenders, girls who have been denied education, and boys who have witnessed their sisters’ futures taken away. We rise from among the very victims of this injustice, united to fight for the most fundamental and sacred human right: the right to education.
We believe that no power should ever extinguish the light of knowledge. Education is not just a right – it is hope, freedom, and the future. We raise our voices to declare: no girl should be barred from school simply because of her gender.
Our mission is not only to tell stories of pain but to become the voice of thousands of silenced girls, to draw the world’s attention, and to build a collective force for change. Through this campaign, we strive to:
Raise global awareness about the crisis of girls’ education in Afghanistan,
Mobilize support from international institutions and communities,
Create opportunities for scholarships, online learning, and alternative education,
And keep hope alive in the hearts of girls still waiting for school doors to reopen.
We fight not only for Afghan girls’ education, but for justice, equality, and human dignity. This is a collective cry – a cry that will echo from Kabul to every corner of the world:
No girl should ever be denied the right to learn.
